Delete your Focal account

This page is for Focal, the training and food tracker from Aqil Rouf. It explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Focal app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile, then Legal.
  3. Tap Delete account and data.
  4. Type your username exactly to confirm, then tap Delete account.
  5. Focal starts deletion straight away and signs you out. This cannot be undone.

If you have uninstalled Focal, or cannot sign in, email hello@joinfocal.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify that the request is yours. To delete some data and keep the account, see Delete your Focal data.

Data that is deleted

When deletion finishes, Focal removes your account and associated app data, including:

  • Account and sign-in record (Clerk), profile and username
  • Workouts, programmes, routines and outdoor activity routes
  • Check-ins, body measurements, progress photos and session media
  • Nutrition logs, meal photos, cycle logs and health sync records
  • Social graph, comments, feedback posts and push tokens
  • Owned photos and other files stored for your account

Data that may be kept

  • Shared catalogue data (exercises, recipes, food records) is not personal to your account and stays in Focal.
  • Purchase and entitlement records from Google Play or the App Store may be kept as needed for billing, fraud prevention, accounting and legal compliance.
  • Challenge, prize and referral fulfilment records may be kept as needed for disputes, accounting and legal compliance.
  • Analytics, crash and security logs may be kept for a limited period for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Other people's copies of content you posted (for example a comment on their workout) may remain where needed to preserve their records. Account-linked identifiers are removed or anonymised where we can.

We aim to complete in-app deletion immediately after you confirm it. Email requests are handled as soon as we can verify them, usually within 30 days.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Focal account does not cancel Focal Pro. Cancel in Google Play subscription settings on Android, or Apple Account subscription settings on iPhone, or you may still be charged.
